'Hyper and Happy'

Understanding Hypermobility as a Key to Neurodiverse Wellbeing

While hyperactivity and hypersensitivity are familiar aspects of neurodiversity, hypermobility—a physical condition affecting joints, connective tissue, and the nervous system—is rarely discussed. Yet its connection to neurodiversity is now scientifically supported and widely observed.

I draw from decades of hands-on experience to share how recognising hypermobility can shift our perspective:

I share how our attitude and words can support the instability of hypermobility and enable each adult or child to shine in their own unique ways.

‘Hyper and Happy’ is available now as a free digital book. Click below to read.

Our Happy and Hyper Day has two aspects:

01.

A celebration of the 3 hypers:

  • Hyperactivity and all the neurodiverse states

  • Hypermobility

  • Hypersensitivity

With thriving children, young people and adults enjoying their active minds, flexible

thoughts, good ideas and creativity.

02.

A group of professionals coming together to help us all explore, recognise,

understand and support the frequent struggles, distress, trauma, withdrawn or

challenging patterns of the 3 Hypers:

  • Hypermobility and many physical health issues

  • Hypermobility and the body / brain link

  • Hypermobility and emotional balance

  • How nurturing the body supports the brain

  • How nurturing the body helps self-regulate the emotions

  • How nurturing the body leads to active minds, flexible thoughts, good ideas and creativity.
